TAM International introduces V0-rated cementing port collar

TAM International, Inc., an independent oilfield services company providing inflatable and swellable packers, has introduced a new V0-rated cementing port collar to complement its extensive cement integrity product line. Proven to ensure casing integrity, the metal-to-metal (MTM) design port collar meets the industry’s latest and most rigorous standard, ISO 14998 V0, Annex A and Annex D, which is confirmed gas-tight at 150°C.

Offering life-of-well reliability, the MTM cementing port collar simplifies rig operations because no drill out is required after cementing. Its customisable features address most critical well conditions – including high torque, drilldown, and deepwater applications.

Robust, gas-tight and chemical-resistant

"The non-elastomeric sealing system provides a robust, gas-tight and chemical-resistant alternative, with enhanced environmental reliability," said Tim Davis, TAM’s Technology Director.

TAM’s casing annulus packer can be integrated with the new port collar to provide the industry’s first open hole packer, combined with a V0 port collar. "This design ensures cement is placed where it needs to be in the event of losses in the annular space," said Davis.
